The HBK2 into AH 64 Apache mod.
First problem is the width of the main gear compared to the body width.
I needed space for the receiver and ESC so thought they would fit into the engine bits.
Yup a nice fit for both (ESC not shown)
Engine pods for Rx and ESC.
Receiver and ESC in the engine pods, servos on, gyro etc 95% of the electronics installed.
Showing how I mounted the main HBK body by using fibreglass rods through the body parts.
I had planned on the tail being put in the proper scale place but the logistics of belt and servo control made it very hard, so I opted for the easy way out.
The scale wheels would never take the weight so I guess the HBK skids will have to do.
